Eggless Black Forest Cake Recipe



Who doesn’t love cake? And if it is the popular decadent indulgence of the likes of black forest, your dinner party will definitely be a hit. Normally most baked foods require eggs, but for all you vegans and vegetarians here’s an alternative egglessblack forest cake recipe so that you don’t miss any of the fun. Chocolate shavings and cherries are also used to decorate the cake. Although in most European countries it is prepared with liquors such as rum (in Australia) or Kirsch (obtained by distilling tart cherries), but in America and India it is prepared without alcohol.
The name is derived from the liquor obtained in Germany’s Black Forest Mountain range (Schwarzwald) by distilling tart cherries. In Germany Kirsch is a compulsory ingredient for the cake and it is not allowed to be sold otherwise. This brilliant dessert can be easily bought at most cafés and restaurants, the entire cake can cost up to INR 700, slices for single serves or more are also available. Here are the ingredients for an eggless cake, if you want to try it at home:
Ingredients:


        Cake base -
  • All purpose flour- 1 cup (200gms)
  • Sweet condensed milk – 200ml 
  •  Baking soda ½ tsp
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Milk ½ cup 
  •  Water ½ cup
  •  Butter – 50gm
  • Chocolate powder 2 tsp
  • ·Cocoa powder 2 tsp 
Sugar syrup –
  • Sugar ¼ cup
  • Water ¼ cup
  • Vanilla essence ½ tsp
  •  Coca cola/Pepsi/ThumbsUp 
Whipped cream -
  • Crème fresh 2 cup or heavy cream 1 cup
  •   Icing sugar 5 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence ½ tsp

To decorate use chocolate shavings and fresh cherries.


Eggless black forest cake is a German dessert which comprises of several layers of chocolate cake with layers of whipped cream in between the layers and cherries.
