Birthday Cake Icing Preparation-How About a Coloured Variety?

Coloured icing on your birthday cake can reflect the festivities in the best possible manner. Do you think it is a difficult proposition? It is not and if you want to go for it here's how you can do it right. You can add anything bright and eye catching on the top to make the festive mood come alive with your decorations.

For preparation of colored icing you require sifted confectioner’s sugar 2 cups, vanilla extra ½ teaspoon, and unsalted butter one-and-half teaspoon. In a mixing bowl add together cream and butter thoroughly using a hand mixer. Now makes vanilla extract in it all the while continuing the blending process at a low speed. Add sugar in it and beat with a spatula, removing the ones that cling to the surface of your mixing bowl. Finally add milk and now increase the speed of your blender. Continue this until the mixture becomes fluffy and light. Now your base of white icing is ready and it is time for coloring it the way you please.

Divide the icing into as many portions in different bowls as the number of color palettes you are planning to use. Take out some of the food coloring based on your selection with the help of a toothpick and mix with the icing to color it up pretty. Keep on mixing until you achieve your desired hue. Now it is ready for use on your birthday cakes the way you like. So, are you ready with your decorative icing?
