Boost Your Appetite with Delicious Fruit Cakes

When we hear the word ‘cakes’, our mouth starts watering with the very image formation of these in our minds. It is always considered as the best food item to munch when we are outing or are in a party or simply relaxing at home with TV on. Among all other types of cakes available one that is mostly looked for is Fruit Cake. These cakes do not have any cream content in it but are usually moist and good to eat. Fruit Cakes are basically of three types like Monastery Fruit Cakes, Southern- Style Fruit Cakes and Mass produced Fruit Cakes to be precise.

The Monastery Fruit Cake is made especially by religious groups and contains almost zero artificial ingredients. They taste really good as many preserved fruit and good alcohol are used for giving it a rich flavor. The Southern Style Fruit Cake is a specialty of the U.S. Southern states; where alcohol is not used at all instead, lots of dry fruits like walnuts and pecans are used to make these. They also add little bit of preservatives and margarine. Mass produced Fruit Cakes are those in which you will find excessive uses of high-fructose corn syrups and preservatives.

These are basically 3 types of Fruit Cakes available among others to go for. These are generally not gifted but bought for mainly personal consumption. However, if you want you can gift Fruit cake to someone who is very fond of it. They come in attractive tinned packages tucked with golden yellow ribbons to give it a glamorous look.
